Great place to eat and listen to music. Kaylee and Luke were the providers of great music. The Ruben sandwich was delicious. Sweet tea is sweet. Very reasonably priced food.

Was in from out of town when the tornado hit the area and knocked out the power to our hotel and several other places. We looked this place up and drove there hoping they'd be open. The owner was so gracious to let us hang out there even though they were closing soon, including a toddler and a baby. Such a nice atmosphere, and we had a blast playing games! Some of the nicest people you'll meet, so definitely check this place out!

Very fun. Super family friendly, very nice and efficient staff, good food, fairly priced. Bonus points for cleaning up my friends spilled drinks TWICE. Golf simulator with fun games, dart boards, foosball, and much more. Great place.

The door swung closed behind us and the sound wrapped around us like a hymn sung slow and low, the scent of smoked meat and craft spirits rising like incense, holy in its own kind of way. The kind of place where time don’t quite move right, where you lose the hour to a plate of food so good it borders on myth: brisket soft as memory, wings kissed by fire and pepper, pretzels with beer cheese that might well have been crafted by angels on their day off. If you are golf enthusiast looking to beat the heat, dodge the rain drops or trying to perfect your swing with their state of the art golf simulators, there is no better place. They have it all, games, great golf course food, cold beverages and a great staff!!! Best part about Irons & Ales…. They are family and veteran owned. Come on out and try it out.

We went with a group and had a blast! The place is clean, awesome, and super fun. The staff is also amazing - so accommodating and treat you like family. The apps were great and they have a huge beer list for the beer drinkers! We’ll definitely be back. Thank you to the staff!!

Just what Athens needed! Awesome environment and atmosphere, kid friendly and great prices. The staff is friendly, quick food service. I’ll be back for sure!

The place is beautiful and has a nice concept. The service was lackluster, to say the least.My husband and I did not feel very welcomed. We got a hello from a waitress who, at the beginning, I thought was talking to customers. It was the owners who didn't even acknowledge us. There was one girl at the bar and kitchen staff who was actually working. The one girl who was walking around on her phone and talking to the owners did nothing the whole time we were there. At one point the owner was by the kitchen, and the kitchen staff member came out with our food and asked the owner whose food this was. The owner just looked out the window, going "ummmm." I looked towards the window because I was trying to figure out if someone else slipped in... nope, we were the only ones.So since the owner wasn't helping the lady out, I said, "I believe it's ours." I do get it's a bar setting, but let me just give you a comparison to a similar bar... Athens Ale House. We went there one Saturday around the same time. There was only one bartender working and the kitchen staff. This guy had eight tables was serving the food and drinks. Our waters never went empty. He took the time to greet us said "hey, grab a seat! I'll be right with ya!" The whole time he was super friendly, got our order, and made the whole experience welcoming and friendly. People don't just go out for the food; they go out for the experience. We did get a very awkward hello at the end, and that is why I put two and two together: the couple the waitress was talking to was the owner.I felt like we were in an episode of Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, where the owners opened a place to hang out, and one staff member plus the kitchen staff were the only ones working. We even went to Pepito's two hours later for aqua frescas and got a friendlier atmosphere. In response the event was a political gathering. I have worked in the restaurant businesses debriefings are done in the back of house not where the patrons are. Most restaurants close their restaurants during an event since it does take a lot. that way the staff can focus on that and having situations as this. Someone having an across the board 5 stars is disingenuous to me. If you look at a lot of prevalent restaurants that Michelin star chefs even they dont have 5 stars across the board. Reviews help the restaurant learn what they need to improve on. not making a bunch of excuses of why you were lacking.
